April 27th
Tonight we held
FEAST Compost. The idea was to use things you would normally throw out to create a dish. This was quite a challenge but we got some tips from the host to use things like orange peel, pumpkin seeds, coffee grounds, beet greens, or chicken livers.

I don't remember all the entries exactly, but the first course included goat cheese tartlet with delicious veggie relish, a dandelion and beet greens salad, ratatouille, and chicken liver pate.

Emily got really creative and made a crab and corn custard inside egg shell cups.

I stole her cup idea and made a garbage can drink inside an orange peel. It was delicious and potent.

The highlight of the evening was
coffee ground brownies with candied orange peel topping.

After a few glasses of trash can, we decided this was the new FEAST mascot.
