Remember all these crates? After stripping them of useful foam and hardware, they basically amount to trash. The environmentalist in me felt guilty tossing perfectly good materials, but the 12 year old geek in me got really excited watching them get crushed by a huge truck. I took a short video of some of the crates going to exhibition heaven. Museum work is certainly not all glamorous because riding with truckers, hauling dirty crates, and paying the dump truck bill is just as much a part of my job as standing around in high heels pontificating about art.
